Blue Jellyfish (large images) *update*

Update on post 5

A quick piece I recently made. I was aiming for a more artistic approach.
Rendered in Blender Internal with nodes and the new particle system.
Render time was about a minute.

Cosmic.

Do you think you ought to add some sort of billowy watery blackground? Something dark but not just uniform black.

I think you should slightly blur the jellyfish in the front, Ive seen jellyfish in water before and Ive never seen one that defined.

Neat atmosphere

maybe add some fain dust particles and make the ends of the tentacles thinner.

evilkillerfiggi: The background is actually a gradient from black to dark blue.
In the deep ocean, unless there is a light such a bioluminescent animal (jellyfish),
very little natural light penetrates that deep.

I blurred the jellyfish some, made the ends of the tentacles thinner,
and reworked my node system. The render time was actually about half a minute.

C&C welcome.

I think it’s perfect that way. Very poetic. Great athmosphere in general.
