Hi,
Does anyone have an idea how to create a shader or another process to create this?
I found a lot of procedures on how to make lines, but I couldn’t find a procedure when I want to work with lines that are on the opposite side of the object.
In cinema 4D it can be set using the toon render settings.
If someone could figure out how to do this in a blender, that would be great!
Thanks
In Blender, you have to create complicated shaders or geometry nodes set-ups.
Or you can characterize occlusion, visibility of a line set for Freestyle or Line Art modifier of Grease Pencil object.
I saw some tutorials about line shaders for hidden lines, but I lost the links.
And now, they are hard to find among all tutorials for beginners about visible ones.
In View Layer Properties, under Freestyle Line Set panel, there is a Visibility sub-panel ; where you can choose all hidden lines or a range of hidden lines, by choosing Quantitative Invisibility.
To create dashed lines, you have to enable corresponding Sub-panel under Freestyle Strokes panel.
For Line Art Modifier, you can choose an Occlusion level or a range under Occlusion sub-panel to define line set.
Then, you can add a Subdivide modifier and a Dot Dash modifier to create dashed line style.
