I just started using Cycles and, because my computer does not have a CUDA-compatible GPU, the render time is prohibitively long (6-10 minutes per frame), even for this pretty simple scene:
The scene is just about 500 frames (although there will be two, so about 1,000 frames, ultimately). And, because I am guessing that somebody with a good GPU could have it done very quickly (just about 150 Samples per frame is fine), I don’t feel too bad about just bluntly asking somebody to render it for me? The .Blend is tiny and simple, and it’s all set up: just Ctrl+F12 and, on a good computer, it’ll probably just take a couple of hours to create the whole Image Sequence.
If anybody can do this for me, please let me know via reply or PM. If there is something I can do to reciprocate, I’ll be happy to discuss (though it can’t be cash, because I’m poor).
Render.st worked very well. There was a glitch in an early render, and the people there were very helpful and took responsibility and re-rendered the frames (for some reason, an animated Armature just didn’t move) without a charge.
But, unfortunately, the service is too expensive for me, because I ignorantly underestimated the Render Time Cycles was going to require (this is my first real Cycles render). I only got about halfway done. A total of 691 frames (with 300 Samples per frame, at 720p) still need to be rendered. I would guess that a computer with a good GPU could handle this pretty quickly. I don’t have a GPU (just the Intel integrated chip). So, although I believe this is a pretty simple render, my computer would take days to do this.
So any help would be hugely appreciated. If there is anything I can do an exchange, please let me know.
