BMW z4

Well, I haven’t touched the blend file to this in quite some time, but I recently decided to finish it. It’s not perfect by any means, but there comes a point when you just have to call a project finished.

The render is a bit too dark, it’s hard to see the details on the lower part of the car. I suggest you to add another light near to the camera to light up these details.

the lighting is terrible.

when lighting cars in static poses, it is a good technique to break down the car in two parts, usually the upper part is brighter than the lower one. It is a common tecnique used in car-advertising photography. This breakdown usually coincides with car main lateral edge, which is an edge placed at the middle of the car. Photographers use artificial and/or natural reflectors for that. Usually, reflections should be in harmony with main car lines.

Alvaro. Passion for lighting.

nice work Maniac4hire,
but I agree with the lighting, Alvaro’s tips are very useful, you can try some reflectors.
