Does anyone out there have a .blend that contains a very simple body model. I have to insert one into a project I have to give it some scale and my organic modelling experience is very limited. I’m thinking along the lines of the AOL guy (maybe not that simple though). Thanks for any help.
(I know that this is a cross post, but some responders thought that I might have better luck in this forum)
Those models are really nice, but maybe a little too nice. If I use this guy I’ll have put some clothes on him or something. My ideal model would be really general, almost cartooony (if that’s a word). Thanks again for the model though, I’ll give it a try.
Well, you could always scout around the web for VRML and DXF meshes. Also, you can download ‘crossroads’ for free, which is a convertor that will do 3DS to DXF and VRML. Lots of 3DS meshes out there, but they need converting before Blender will take them. To load a mesh, just browse for it the same way as if you were opening a .blend, and it will appear in your scene. You can import VRML1.0, DXF, OpenInventor, and Videoscape. You won’t find much without the converter though.
I just sent you a low poly model (the original blendergirl file). Hope it helps…b.t.w…if you try to respond to me via e-mail, that address is changing very shortly…I just got another job assignment that requires me to move (again).
