Hi,
I am trying to create a “swarm of walkers” using Mixamo models and Blender Boid simulation (particle systems). For some reasons … the animation of the Mixamo models (walking) move backwards.
My setup is the Mixamo characters (zombie) are walking stationery, as particles to the simulation. The Boid is setup to be
** ground movement
** brain - separate, avoid, avoid collision and flock
I think it is something to do with “xyz” plain of the armature / mixamo not in the correct orientation. But I tried with the N>Item.“Euler” various options, but does not help. Then I tried to rotate both of the characters/armatures (as particles) but does not seem to work as well. Even when I tried to “ctrl-A” to apply transformation to rotation 180 degrees, it does not allow me to get them to face forward in the direction simulated by “Boid” movement.
Any help and advise please.

Any help please? Just advise on how I can rotate my armature/character facing the same direction of the “boid movement” simulated. Now it is facing backwards and I just can’t figure out how to rotate this animated “walkers” that will works with particle system/boid setup.

The mixamo characters walk forward.
In “boid” simulation, I cannot find any option to change orientation … except the speed and acceleration of movement …
I am not clear on “modifiers” in your question … are you referring to something outside “boid” which is a feature/part of particle system modifier? I do not know of any that can change “orientation” … but note that this is “armatures” and typically you manage it with “pose mode” but maybe it is not that complex.
Well I suppose I will continue to do “trial and error” to see if I can get this “direction issue” corrected - and other ways of simulation avoiding “boid”. Hopefully someone that understand “boid” at a deeper level may come across this problem … and advise.
Appreciate you responded somewhat to this query. I think there’s not much tutorial in depth online about “boid” with armatures simulation.
