hello…i have another problem with blender…every time i position my characters skeleton for weight painting, i save, close out of blender, but when i open blender back up, the bones are snapped right back to where they was before! and just when i thought THAT was bad…the weight painting DOESN’T work either!! whats going on?..
Maybe you have Loc keyframes on the root bone. However I’m not sure what you mean by “positioning” the skeleton for weight painting. What exactly are you doing there? Also what steps are you following when you try the weight painting and it doesn’t work?
ok… thanks CD38, the bone snapping problem is solved! now if i could just get this weight painting to work…every time i try to test the rig, the mesh just stays still, while the bone moves freely. i paint the part of the mesh that i want to move with the selected bone, and the only thing that moves IS the bone. the mesh just stays still. however i haven’t tried to test the rig after solving the “bone snapping” problem, so i guess i’ll give it a shot…
