Bones acting strangely

Let me say that this is the first time I have been able to get anything done with a 3D modeling program. However, I am having trouble with rigging a model for animation. I’ve already put in several joints, but one object insists on rotating twice as fast as its bone. I have successfully created several similar joints on the same model, and they are all working well. I have unlinked and relinked this section, and even deleted and recreated the attached bone string, but I have not been able to fix this. Does anyone know what might be happening?

Never mind, I found the problem. The head (the part that was giving me trouble) was listed as a child of the armature…but was also being modified by the same armature. Deleting the armature from the “Modifiers” tab brought the head down to the correct speed.
