Bones in unfinished model?

Hi! Don’t know where this goes but I guessed Modeling suits it at least a little.

I am currently learning blender and just thought that i’d ask if there is any idea to add bones to a model where verts maybe will be added later?

Possible, why not? if you plan to use only envelopes to define the deformation area, then it is OK. With vertex groups there might be some problems when you create new vertices on border of a group, and with fine tuned weight painting. But if you plan only to add vertices, it’s possible to bone the mesh before finishing it.
