Bones pass through Floor Constraint

Hi,

I’m new to Blender from 3dsMax and having trouble with the floor constraint.

Basically, it only works during object mode and only on the origin of the armature. If I’m in pose mode it doesn’t even do that, I can just move the whole character through the floor plane.

Note that I have all the bones using this constraint - this is for a game character and in various animations it needs to drop dead…

I haven’t come across anything helpful by searching - in every instance the constraint is created, the target object set and it just works. What am I missing?

You have a floor as an object constraint, on the armature object. What you want are bone constraints (on any bones you want affected.) The bone constraint tab of the properties panel is only visible when in pose mode.
