Books for Blender?

(Killfast) #1

I was wondering if any of you know of a good book on blender for a beginner. I have looked but can’t find any.

                   Thanks Killfast........ 8)

As far as I know, there is the “Blender Book” by Carsten Wartman (ca 40 $) and “The Offical Blender 2.0 Guide” by NaN.

The Blender book should still be available. It’s quite good for newbies and has a kind of tutorials structure including a CD with some sample files. It’s a very goog start but far from being complete.

The Blender Guide seems to be hard to get at present. Because NaN doesn’t distrebute it momentary. Some bookstores may still have it.
It is more detailed and it is better used as a reference. Nearly every button is explained, somehow, but the book could be worked out a little bit.

There are a bunch of free tutorials in the web, and a lot of them are very good. I think IngieBee has a very good collection on her site.
