I modeled an object that is going to subtract from my other mesh using the boolean tool. When I add the boolean modifier to the mesh and select my object I want to use, after I set it up, the boolen tool acts as if it is not doing the subjectration properly. What am I doing wrong?
It looks like you are trying to cut planes, without any volume, intersecting every which way. Think of Boolean as interaction between two objects with volume. Surfaces inside and outside must be clearly defined. Otherwise program cant tell what is what.
Okay, I deleted one of the planes and extruded the other so it has volume…is that what you do? Anyways, I applied my boolean modifier again and it still looked the same…
Thanks ridix, it took me a min to figure out what you were meaning. My mesh and object were just faces and not volumes. I thought you only meant my mesh had to be a volume. lol. Thanks again!
