I’m working on a cross section type project in 2.5, and the boolean modifier works great for it. What I’m trying to do is keep the material of the original mesh unchanged while the newly created faces from the modifier where the boolean object intersects is a different material. Does anyone know a way to do this, perhaps with nodes?
ya you can This may not be the best way and you gotta work out the details but here it is .
Just put on your material . then in uv unwrap select only the faces you want the new material when you unwrap. I think you need to change from mix to add in map to.
