Looking for critique. Subsurf version = blah! Mainly because I haven’t made the edges that shouldn’t be round hard yet. Your opinions on the best way to handle hard edges are welcome(another cut?, crease edge function?). Also, the top flap isn’t finished. Just a flat placeholder for now.

I want some wrinkles! Not that that’s easy or anything. Anyway looks good!

looks good, anyways how did you start?
im trying to see where you would start making it…since that seems to be one of the hardest part

@amoose136 - yes wrinkles is what Im learning to do now :slight_smile:

@ Andifer - I have that same problem…took me a couple different tries on this one but I ended up starting it with a cylinder though.

from my experience there are two ways to handle your problem:
first one is use ‘smooth’ (W KEY ==> Smooth )
or set subsurf on and at the places you want to have hard edges you just have to add an additional edge and by using Edge Slide (Ctrl-E ==> Edge Slide) bring it as close to the to harden edge as needed. looks nice. ^^ will we see the person for whom that shoe is made ?
