Border Box select does not work with Occlude Background Geometry enabled

Hey there,
I saw a thread with something similar, but no solutions to my problem.
My problem is that when I enable Occlude Background Geometry , I cannot select faces NOR vertices in border box select mode (by drawing a rectangle around points of interest) . It does work for me when I select individual faces by rightclicking them, or by using the double B (brush mode?).

Strangely enough, when I hold my left mouse button down and just pull somewhere next to my object, then the screen goes black, the model goes red. After pressing B then, I can select faces of the model in border box select mode. However, this then does select a bit more than it actually should.

I am running Vista, using a Geforce 8800 GTX and the latest Blender version. If anybody has any ideas or solutions I’d really appreciate it.

This is a driver issue. IIRC, you need to disable anti-aliasing from the nvidia control panel.

Yeah cool, I remembered there was a problem with java apps too when anti-aliasing was enabled.
I’ve turned it off and YES, it works :o)
Thanks for your reply.
