Hi Blender users! I often see here on forums that people tell that Cycles is slow and requires more speed. It sounds strange to me because:
- I model very slow;
- I animate very slow;
- I always can buy CUDA-capable card to increase the speed almost for free (I mean I only pay once and then use my hardware as many times as I want).
At the moment I only learn Blender so my workflow is far from production level: I create short animations (1 minute or less) and each requires several weeks. I render one full HD frame 5-30 minutes on GTX 970 + GTX 750Ti and most of time my two render machines do nothing. In other words at the moment my bottleneck is slow modeling/animating and the fact that I’m still learning the Blender.
Again, render time is absolutely not the bottlenech in my case.
If it is not supersecret, can you please share, what currently requires most of time/attention in your current work that you are doing in Blender?
The thing is that I learn Blender not only to make current work asap, I more try to work effectively, without spending time/attention to what doesn’t matter for final result.
Thanks,
Dmitry
