I’d love any suggestions for material improvement. Or if anyone has any experience with good liquid/glass materials or examples of them I would live to see.
I am yet to texture these bottles to add labels, add bubbles to the inside and condensation to the outside of the glass.
I’m quite happy keeping this as a simple render, good enough for a new background
For a start this is a strong render! I agree yes you should add some labels. Perhaps place the bottles in a scene? Wooden table or something.
Regarding the lighting. Putting them in a simple scene would reduce the repeated reflections you can see on the glass. Some moody lighting I think would be appropriate, ultimately your choice. Awesome render though keep blending!
Thanks for the feedback mate, I agree completely about putting these in a scene of some sort for the final render. For now at least I’m going to focus on getting some pretty bottles, then worry about the scene later :P.
Here is v2 with labels and a touch of displacement. Condensation and imperfections to come. Also there’s some ribbing to be added on the very bottom of the bottle models.
good render ! what ior value u r using ? is there a Fresnel to the reflection? ( i think yes )
and u may add a volume absorption to the liquid !
cheers
:D… no matter what label you stick on the bottle, the substance still resembles a piss more…
add more saturation, color, life… diversity, maybe also an inviting, welcoming & relaxing environment
… ? have you looked at & gather any references (corona beer images)
Very much agreed on the colour, far too piss like. Let me know what you think of the latest iteration, I’ve tried to address that. Environment to come. Lots of references being used, including the one sitting at my desk but I’m not too fussed on 100% accuracy when it comes to labels etc.
Thanks! 1.4 for the glass 1.33 for the beer and yes there’s fresnel. My beer material does actually have a volume absorption component, but its constantly being tweaked so let me know what you think of the latest iteration!
Latest update, just one bottle this time. It might be just a tad too bright:
