Boxcutter not working until I move my mouse away from cut

I’m using Blender 5.1 and started having the same issue plus another. I did a reset and still had the same problem with moving the mouse away. Also sometimes when drawing out the shape to cut and hitting escape before cutting Blender hard crashes.
