BR Material node alpha?


I’m trying to use the alpha from a texture, but I see no alpha node output as in Cycles… is it hidden somewhere as another node? I see Separate RGB… but there is no separate RGBA!..

The texture value node output is a black and white representation of the texture. Look at using that as an alpha

Thanks Richard, but that wouldn’t work in my case, but I finally found a way, using a texture node for that particular alpha channel (since there is a “separate RGBA” node for textures) then loaded it in the material node setup, but the workflow is really awful like that, so I gave up with BR and started using Cycles which is more straightforward when it comes to this matter…
