Break down a single object in 2.8

Hi, I have a single mesh that I need to split into seperate objects. Can anyone please advise how to do this in 2.8? Thanks in advance!

Hi @Starport,

In EDIT mode, select any vertex/edge or face of one of the ‘sub-meshes’ you want to detach. Press CTRL-L, this will expand the selection to all faces that link DIRECTLY to what you selected. Press P, and choose the first option:

Repeat this proceedure as many times as you need. Remember that you don’t need to separate the final set of the mesh, as you are in Edit mode this is already a unique object.
