Bright background without emission?

I want a light blue background which I create with a bright blue “background” shader node connected to the “world output” node. It looks fine except that this bright blue color also emits blue light which makes the whole scene look blueish.

How do I keep the light blue color in the background, but stop it from emitting light? Even better: Can I keep the light blue color as background and make the background emit white as ambient light instead?

I’m using Blender 2.63.

Finally foumd a solution after more googling. If someone else may be interested, this is how I did it:

I added a mix shader and connected a light path shader (is camera ray) to the fac input and two background shaders with two different colors to each of the color inputs on the shader. One is now visible as the background color and the other works as ambient light.
