nice!..id make it abit more reflective…but then again i don’t know to much 'bout airplanes… propellers?
That is some excellent texturing. is it hand painted or taken from something else?

I think you are right it could do with some specular reflections. You probably noticed but that image isnt a Blender internal render, it is a screen shot from a game engine. So it involves Direct X shader scripts to add reflections. I havent really figured that stuff out yet. For my first stab I was pleased it rendered at all, and was happy with the 71 frames per second

The original skin was for a CFS3 plane modelled in Gmax, I assume it was painted from scratch. The CFS guys kindly allowed me to use some of their stuff. Gmax messed up the model export, so I gave up with the old model and redid it from scratch in Blender, but I managed to reuse their skin. It made the Blender workflow a bit tricky as it was reversed to conventional. I.e Start with a skin and then make the model, it required a fair bit of fiddling and tweaking but I think the skin and model fitted together fairly well in the end
