This is my first rig in a while, but I got most of it working just fine. The arms are totally broken and I can’t get them fixed. I have a deadline to get this done by next week, so any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated!
What I’ve tried:
- Adjusting the roll
- Clearing the parents and reassigning the hierarchy
- Deleting and recreating the bone chain
- Redoing the IK process - makes it way worse
Parenting or changing the hierarchy on any other part of the rig breaks it as well, so I assume it has something to do with that. However, clearing the parents on the arms doesn’t change anything.

Hi, i don’t see any problem with the arms?
The only thing that could be the problem is; that the elbow ik bend the wrong way.
The arms, for me, aren’t rotating properly. They go all wonky. How would I fix the IK facing the wrong way? Could that be causing the other issue?
You need to have the elbow bend the right way first then apply the ik constraint.
Also move the pole target back from the elbow.
Thank you! I’ll give it a try! I really appreciate the help!
Could you elaborate a little more? I’m rotating the bones, but it’s still not working for me.
Have you disconcert the ik first? then bend the elbow and reapply the ik?
Yes, but it’s still not working
