buffered shadows and alpha mapped planes

Is it possible for alpha mapped planes to cast a correct shadow when using buffered shadows? I know ray traced shadows recognize the outline of the image with alpha chanel that is mapped to a plane but buffered shadows only recognize the plane itself it appears. In other words, an alpha mapped plane will cast a square ugly shadow if you use a spot light with buffered shadows and will cast the shadow of the mapped image if you use ray trace shadows. Is there a way to make buffered shadows work?

You have to enable “Tra Shadow” on the shaders tab in the materials buttons.

RamboBaby,
I am familiar with traShadow and to demonstrate that it doesn’t work with buffered shadows, I made a simple alpha mapped plane that casts a shadow onto a ground plane. You will see the shadow from the plane. But if you change the spotlight to ray-traced and then turn on ray tracing on the rende button window then you get the shadow from the image. But I would like to use buffered shadows because it renders so fast. Is it possible to do this with buffered shadows?
