Here is the start of bug girl, whether she will be a bug, or a girl dressed up as a bug I can’t decide yet. She even has a concept drawing somewhere. I’ve started on her body but aint happy yet so hit me with the crits on the head please (hers not mine )
Oh also she will have plenty of flesh on her. Even if she is toon, up with REAL peoples’ shapes!

lookin good, only thing I see is maybe where the nose joins the forehead, it looks like it pokes out instead of being flat or dipping in, as a toon she is sweet… how will you do the hair?

you should do pixar style eyes it would really suit this model!
as for crits nothing much is wrong but if i was gonna be really picky i would say the forehead looks a little lumpy but thats being REALLY picky cos it looks good.

Yes I’ll go for pixar style eyes but For extra cuteness the pupils will be way big. Hope she won’t look wired though .
no plans for hair at this stage, either a bug cap thingie or antennie(sp?)
This ear is straight from the Joan of Arc tute (nothing else is though)but cutifed with one of my homecooked half theories on girl ears: Make sure they are nice and round with a puffy little lobe.
Currently about 1000 faces in head and 700 in body
Not able to work on this for a little while as I have other projects but here is what I have so far up. I have given her a bit of a short torso, not sure if its right, But then I’m tempted to accentuate it even more with bigger curves on the hips and thighs almost like a corset.
Actually I think I’ll make two versions. One more “toonie”
Who knows.
The plan is to give her very small dainty hands and feet, then start on some crazy bug costume. At a later date I’ll be working in half bent the limbs, as advised by several Blenderheads (you know who you are), but I can’t seem to get my head around working the bends in straight off the bat.
Give me your crits please, I’ll start the ball rolling…

Nice clean mesh on the head. Very well done, but since you are one of the guys that made a head tute, it better be, eh?
The body seems to be off IMO. The shoulders look a little too narrow. Could be just the perspective though. The breasts seem to be off as well. I don’t mean make them bigger or anything like that. But they could be rounder at the bottom.
Get ready to feel good whiteraven, She been on my comp since april or may. The majority of her head was done back then, and just tweaked over subsequent months on and off. Hell i have no idea really but rest assured worked on for AGES. I don’t expect to be able to model efficiently (time wise) for a while yet**this is coz I’m a slow ass not that modelling is a hard thing to learn**.

luckybreak great start on that girl, I got 2 crits though I think you should smooth out her lips and eyes a bit the shape is to exagerated, and I think you should work on those tits make them more round less like muscles and more like stiff bags that hang…
but this could just be my taste so again good work…
Well, I wont be working on this for the next week so here is an update, enlarged ears, fixed outer curve on breast, widened shoulders – maybe still not enough. And stuck on a few extremities. There isn’t a lot of definition, I keep telling myself that’s for ease on animation and coz she will be clothed…
Hands took ages, I wanted them small but female hands tend to be long, so I figured I’d just make the finger tips tiny to convey dainty-ness. Does it work?
