99% of the times i’m using blender, I swap workspaces a lot on apple+1,2,3,4 etc.
what happens if that often does the kb input get hijacked. I cant type anywhere or do apple+q to quit blender, nor alt+tab.
and the spaces overlay grid icons are lit, only thing that works is the keyshortcuts for spaces (mine is apple+1, etc)
it’s really annoying is anyone else having this probelm? is it OSX or blender GHOST: ?
I have the same problem with CTRL+{Up Arrow} for “current view to fullscreen”. It is indeed a case of Spaces hijacking the input before Blender gets it
but what does blender uses OS_KEY + 1 for? I have disabled spaces hotkeys now. and started to use a corner for changing spaces instead. and no issues of kb hijack. yesterday I had one of the worst hijacks, usually it lets go after a minute or so. specially if you go into users preferences (osx) … but I had to restart computer to get my kb back.
do you experience this also. if I switch to a workspace where blender is, it’s not focused. if I click somewhere it’s like you’re RMB clicking instead of LMB. I have to alt+tab and chose blender to give it the focus, if I then click inside blender LMB clicks are like LMB clicks.
it was just becoming to bothersome to swap space, then always start with a alt+tab to blender even if it’s the only app in that space and fully visible.
this problem is even weirder it only appears when you use a kb shortcut to swap spaces, if you use mouse gestures it’s ok. it’s like when selecting spaces w/ mouse it automagically gives the app under the cursor the active window status.
weird weird, I don’t even bother bug reporting it unless it’s on several OSX versions I have btw the latest 10.6.5 Snow Leopard w/ nvidia gfx card if that matters.
