Bug with Sculp Mode in 2.49, brush size has disappeared

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem:
Just installed 2.49 (Last version I had was 2.44). I noticed that when I use Sculp Mode the circle that represented the brush size has disappeared. Is this a bug with Blender 2.49 or some issue on my side?
Thanks

It’s been working ok for me, so it might be your graphics card.

Thanks for the reply Modron. I’ve been playing around and it appears that it is only happening with a file I have been working on recently. In my other projects the circle (Sculp Mode brush size) appears fine. Don’t know why. Maybe there is a way you can turn it on or off and I have done this accidentally.

make sure you have the brush size up to 30 or watever it starts at… you might have accidentally put it all the way down

how do you check your brush size?

blendermakers: The brush size is was set to 50 by default, and I have played with it (i.e. changing its size) but no luck. It still dose not appeared. The only way I get it to appear is if I start a new file and append the meshes into it. Not to much trouble but annoying. I am having a bit of trouble with my version of Blender though ( see http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=158858 ) and it might be all linked.

Mistyna: You have to be in Sculpt Mode; Panels in Editing; and click the Sculpt tab.

sculpt menu > display brush
