Hi All,
I’ve seen a whole bunch of Youtube videos of Blender animations with Building structures collapsing, and stacks of many many cubes falling.
I wanted to know is there a specific type of setup that is best for doing this (in 2.49 or 2.5).
How does one setup a structure with maybe 100 or 200 cubes that will all fall, tumble, and collide? Is it e.g. a duplivert thing with one cube that has appropriate settings dupliverted to a larger mesh “structure” with many vertices? Or would you duplivert to create the cubes, and then copy the physics attributes to all the resulting individual cubes? (Or am I looking at this allll wrong - lol
Is each individual cube an actor with rigid body settings, and setup to be a collider in the physics system?
Any ideas would be very helpful! I just want as a first step to setup a stack with a couple hundred cubes, and have them fall and tumble.
Also what is the setup to add another object which is “thrown at” or falls on the stack of cubes to “trigger” the collapse of the stack?
So many possibilities for this once I get my head around the basic setups. Thanks!!
