Building Interiors in 3D

I’m looking for a tutorial that explains how to design and render the inside of buildings or other objects like a spaceship or submarine. It seems most stuff is geared toward modeiling the exteriors of objects. Can anyone point me to some good stuff? I’m new to the world of CG art, and I am planning to work in Wings3D and Blender.

Thanks,

Keep looking, the tutorials are there. Here’s one of the best lighting lessons I’ve seen

The blender directory has a list of very good tutorials

and many more. Google is your buddy.

It’s all basically the same really. Just a matter of light/shadow, distance and the illusion.

Thanks for the link to the forum post. Maybe this will help narrow my search:

How would you go about setting up a scene for the inside of a building. A model where you’ll never need to see the outside of the structure. I am guessing you’d always need to leave on wall of your structure out, so you could have a viewing angle for your camera. Am I correct?

Thanks,

Yes, in blender there’s no way to look through a one sided object so you have to leave the wall out. Think of it as a television studio or a theatrical stage and you’ll get some good results.
