Built in textures in GE?

Is it possible to use the built in Blender textures in the game engine without turning on the Use Blender Materials button?

Like texture baking?

oh good, texture baking! i can’t seem to get it to work, can someone explain it?

I do baking in Cinema 4D.
But if you want to bake in blender I think that the best way is to do it with Yafray. Try to select Yafray as a render engine and than run the bake script.

I’m curious as well what you are discussing. Are you discussing lightmap generation?

Could you post a sample .blend of this?
