An experiment in recreating the painterly look of Gwen’s world from Spider Verse, including developing a technique to have hand drawn line art follow the 3D character’s animation using Blender Grease Pencil and Geometry Nodes.

It’s so strange that right now I’m noticing this here, when I’ve been looking for grease pencil animation tutorials without success. Then I only browse through other people’s work and see that WOU! Exactly what I need for a MUCH simpler and more amateurish animation.

I’ll be honest, this is truly ART! This is what I - I confess - look at with envy! You have already received a wonderful gift in how you can animate emotions, facial expressions, etc. An unbelievably great and beautiful video and on such an important topic! It’s like a conversation between Jesus and Peter in reverse John 21:15-19.
