I’ve been lurking here for a while but i finally have something that i’m happy enough with to post 
I really love this new Defocus node.

I’m fairly happy with it. Only thing i did was add a bit of extra grain. The rest is nodes in Blender.

how the heck did you do the focusing/blurring?
love it but would prefer the focus to be on the first button

Zimbloggy: It’s the defocus/DOF node in the Blender CVS.
zimbloggy: BlackBoe is right. It’s the defocus node, which i set to use the “DoFDist” for the focus. I was then able to Key the DoFDist for the animation and used the Camera Jitter script to give it a bit of a hand-held look. It was done with the 2.43 RC1 beta.
