I wanted to know, whats the best way to import BVH mocap into blender with the current release 2.4a? I did a search and found many options but they all were 2.40 RC1 and under, besides with such a variety its hard to distinguish the differences.
But it doesn’t work though… 2.43rc builds the skeleton model with a bunch of empties, it would be rather useless even if it actually worked. I think what would be really useful is to use build the skeleton model using Armature – that way you can just attach a mesh onto the Armature and get realistic animation. I have around 200 bvh files of this kind and some human models built around these bvh files. I can get the empties to work, and I think I heard that you could do a parent-child attachment between the bones and the empties – but that’s just really not necessary if the Armature itself actually worked.
