Hope you all likes it.

I will work more on the eyes tomorrow because I do not like them as they are now.

Anyway, a tiny update but still something to look at.

Worked on the body a bit and tested the scene. I like these eyes better, what do you guys think?

Comments and Critiques are more than welcomed.

No critiques yet, it’s following the concept art very nicely. I agree with the eyes too (though I had to think about it a bit). Makes them seem a little less “doped up”.

I think its a great idea! The eyes are better on the second one, and I love the expression of the alien that’s laughing and pointing. Good Work, though there is one problem. The heads look really weird that thin. Try making them a little fatter. Looking forward to your updates.

alright! good to see you’re still blending foCus
I remember your bwc with the ice and the ship long ago…still think it’s awesome

you don’t have much time to finish, so good luck! everything looks good so far

Quandtum: Thank you! Haha, yeah the eyes were terrible.

glacierman: Thanks! I will try to fatten the heads and make them more like the concept art.

Jeepster: Hey long time no see! :D, I saw your entry, it looked really cool and I do hope that you will finish it. You do know that the final date has been changed to 11th sept, right?

Sorry for not having anything to show you guys but I have been testing the network rendering system in Luxrender and it works great! Had three computers working on the same image, though I think it will pay of better with a more complex scene than with the simple scene I had, saved a couple of minutes or so.

Thank you all for stopping by!

Update!

C&C are more than welcomed!

Thanks

Hello again, not much more to do and I think I’ll just might be able to finish!

This is how it looks now. I will fix the spaceship with some details and stuff. Will Also add a chair or table into the scene. Kind of fond of the silver spaceship so I will probably go in that direction but on the other hand the red one stands out more and gives the image more color.

I like the red best. Your textures on the trim are sweet! Given how beat up they are though the floor boards feel a bit off… flat I think. Characters came out great. Still planning to add in DoF?

Looks very good, If you do go with the silver spaceship, I think that the facial expression of the alien in the trap was better in the render with the red spaceship, with the mouth a bit more open. Other crits: I think that the cheese looks a bit plastic (Maybe that’s just in the red spaceship render…) Still overall it’s looking pretty good. Hope you get finished in time.

looking pretty good so far. i like the lighting or whatever on the first one, but like the silver rocket and the face of the little guy on the 2nd one.
