I have some crits
A more blurry atmosphere (i can use nodes as an example)
Earth should be darker black in the inferiror spots
Oh,and the atmosphere should have sunset/sunrise colors

Higher AO sampling is all I can say really. And perhaps try to make the shadowy side of the rocket darker. It looks to bright now while contrasting the sun.
somehow i really like the one with the photoshop flare, but i´m not sure what you think.

Just a quick note:
The final entry will need to be more than 1 megapixel in size, so a little larger than what you have here. 1200 by 900 would be sufficient
