I decided to tempt to participate on this years competition and I am not sure if opening a thread here is enough for beeing able to submit the last picture…
Anyway, a screenshot of my (poor) progress as I have a lot to learn about texturing in Blender…
Well, I have spent too much on sculpting…but learned a lot about it. This image is just made with the retopo tool and some very basic material…still a lot to learn on these subjects…comments welcome!
So I have played around with these new functionalities to get used to it. Next step will be DoF as described in http://www.blenderguru.com/creating-depth-of-field/ just to learn about this…
Some mistakes in the object geometry (corrected) happened as I was moving the object and not the corresponding armature. Blender 2.5 Beta seems to be quite instable as I was experiencing program crashs mainly messing around with the modifiers functionalities, probably because I am not used to set them up in a correct order. (if any as in 2.49)
Thanks a lot to you guys from Australia. Switzerland seems to me a Blender Desert…I have to change that…anyone here to help me?
edit: Now you can compare the two render results, maybe I will mess around with some render passes, too.
edit2: Last uploaded Picture I made messing around with AO and RGB Curves. If only I knew how to do this effect on the woman only…(bluish glow without affecting the landscape)
Well, the theme is stop motion, and as renderers there are these unbiased (realistic) supposed. As my learning focus at the moment is on how to model, light up a scene, rendering passes, (texturing) and sculpting, I decided to let the unbiased beside. Still I wanted to create a realistic-looking character that is not possible to animate by stop-motion techniques with real objects.
Well, I made a little change in the naming for the BWC, and called my darling “Universe”
Now it is quite a long time since I heard from the BWC and the site is not changing…
