I’m so upset. I couldn’t finish a game I was making because I used too many sounds!!! :x Imagine this scenario: You upload sounds into blender until it switches to Data Browse mode in the sound menu. You add a sound actuator, Click the -, and the menu “Choose Sound” (or something similar) pops up with one coice, DataBrowse. You click it, it disappears, and…nothing happens.
Is there any way I can get around this and add sounds to the game? My game has 10 levels and I absolutley HAS to have tons of sounds!!!

Have you loaded previously the sounds in the Sound Buttons window??

The only easy solution I can see would be to use the game actuator to load a new blend file when you change levels. Put just enough levels in each blend file so that you don’t run into the data browse limit…

I thought of using the setFilename() python method, but the python script won’t “see” the actuator until you select the sound in the GUI. If you already have too many sounds, you of course can’t do that.

Cheers,
Tom
