The first image is quite compelling … the second (IMHO), not nearly so much. The first has drama.

The top of the large cactus on the left looks somewhat blurred. Other than that, the images have a nice flair.

Yes the composition is not as important on the second, the sun and the atmosphere on the first play a lot 
Ah yes it’s the fault of the denoiser ^^
