Anyone out there know of or use a good open source CAD program? Preferably Vista compatible. I have googled the subject and found a few, but I have no real experience so hoping someone out there can help.
Thanks

if you googled it you already know there really aren’t any great opensouce cad programs. just try those you have found and see which is best for your needs, it’s not like you are going to be wasting money. you will be investing time. try searching sourceforge and gnu for cad aplications, they might have something google misses.

FreeCAD: http://juergen-riegel.net/FreeCAD/Docu/index.php?title=Main_Page
… forgot CollabCAD (based on OpenCASCADE … and they have Blender bundled):

and Cademia (if you use just metric system):
you can try doublecad xt, its not open source, but they have a free version.
