I’m new to Blender. I opened it once years ago, fainted when I saw its complexity and did not open it again until today. Now I really need it for one specific job: To use an existing Blender template and create a personalized movie open. I have a great tutorial, but I am stuck when it says “hover over the letters and hit cal to select.” I can’t figure out what the cal command is. Is there some kind soul out there with some spare time who could help this newbie? Email, text, or best yet over Zoom? Thanks!
It was probably ‘Ctrl’ (control), not ‘cal’. There’s no ‘cal’ command.
To understand better, maybe you can show the video?
Thanks for the suggestion. Here is the link to the tutorial I have been using:

I look forward to your further comments.
Thanks again.

So sorry to bother you once again. I’ve almost completed this task but I’m having a problem with one of the final steps. If you look at the tutorial I referred to earlier (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzzKW8qAkRE) at around 5:22 the artist says “I’m going to select the text, and with a tap gonna go into text edit mode.”
I have no idea what that “tap” refers to. Can you give me any guidance on that?
Thanks again!

I apologize once again for nagging you. Since you responded to my earlier emails, and since I have been unable to reach a moderator, I thought you might be able to suggest something.
I mistakenly posted my contact info in one of the notes I sent you earlier. I did not realize it until another member sent me a message pointing it out. I am desperate to delete that note or have a moderator do it, but I have no idea how to accomplish this.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.

Please disregard previous message requesting help on deleting a post. Someone else just got to me with the instructions.

Thanks. I actually figured it out last night after wasting an inordinate amount of time. Project is rendering as I write.
No need to apologize, I’m always happy to help. Let me know if you need help with anything else.
