CAL3D exporter sript...

(broken_sword) #1

Hi,

I searched this forum but unable to find the answer.
My question is, is the latest Cal3D exporter able to utilize the spring system?
If so, how can this be done in blender?

Kind Regards,

no spring support but the classes are there and it can be written, the data just isnt taken from the mesh,
can you explain what springs are?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

According to;
http://www.worldforge.org/media/documents/docs3d/tutorials/cal3d_media
and
http://download.gna.org/cal3d/documentation/api/html/classCalSpringSystem.html

, Cal3D has a cloth-like system, a spring system, a basic one. So it simulates simple cloth based on spring mass system. (unlike XSI’s sysfex cloth which is complicated and can’t be done in real-time)… apparently the data is taken from the vertices information…

… umm did I answer your question properly?

Kind Regards,
BrokenSword
