Call For Content: Blenderart Magazine #41 (Take 2 :P )

It’s time again to start thinking about articles, tutorials and images forIssue # 41 of Blenderart Magazine.
The theme for this issue is “Imagine the Possibilities”

A new year has arrived filled with possibilities for artistic growth and learning. In this issue we are going to look at your personal projects and goals for 2013. What do you hope to learn or accomplish with blender this year. The possibilities are endless, so let the possibility party begin.

Looking for tutorials or “making of” articles on:

  • Personal Projects/Creations
  • Any tool or technique

*warning: lack of submissions could result in an entire issue of fuzzy bunnies, puffy hearts and a galley filled with random images off my hard drive …. …… goes off to check number and variety of images on my hard drive …. just in case.

how should we submit an article? in .pdf or what? how long do we have to submit stuff? I have an article/tut

although I like the magazine, I miss the themes like dedicated to texturing, lighting, rigging, or character creation and hard surface modeling etc…not trying to be critical, I know this is free…and this may sound negative, but to be honest I DL every issue and like them all, but usually I get nothing out of it, aside from some 3D influence and a bit of entertainment…
also, it would be intersting if there were editorials from the developers like Campell or something…just some thoughts…thank you deeply for devoting time to this mag.

ctdabomb, Here are some general guidelines for article submission

Submission deadline for the nextissue is March 5[SUP]th[/SUP].

Length of article is entirely up toyou. It can be as long or as short as you want or need. Please submitthe article as a doc, text or open office document file format.

Feelfree to include still images and or screen shots to illustrate yourarticle. You can include as many as you want.

  • [INDENT=2]jpeg or png, if jpeg uncompressed please [/INDENT]

  • [INDENT=2]resolution, 150-200 dpi and size should be of 1024x (width) at max (either direction is fine) [/INDENT]

I enjoy the dedicated theme topics as well. Over the years of doing this I have noticed that at certain points in Blender development, that submissions for certain topics don’t go over as well. Mainly because most users are busy learning new options and tools in development. That is generally a great time to focus on personal project issues and see what other users are up to.

What image file should we use if we submit, PNG, JPG, or something else?

png or jpg is great, if you submit a jpg, please don’t compress it.
