I’m talking about resetting the workspace without destroying/closing your project.
Here’s an example.

As you can see, I’m using a layout (workspace) called startup, then for some reason I made some crazy modifications. Now I’m done with it, and I want to go back to the default layout, all I have to do is open the startup layout again and boom, everything is on it’s original state, no closing of projects no nothing, and ready to continue. 
Every software that has layouts do that.
