Calling scripts from scripts

I’m using 2.49 if it even matters. I have a custom script that exports a mesh but I would like to call the LightMap UV Unwrap script that comes with blender as well so that it modifies the uv’s, I can then re-loop over the UV’s export the lightmap uv coords and reset back to the original and I then have my own file format that has my model with texture uv’s + light map uvs.
