Can you post some wires please

hmmmmm… not bad on the hood and door… but your topo is in bad shape around the front bumper and rear, and your edge loops all around are not tight enough. im guessing the hood and door are where your started. not horrible. im guessing you dont make cars that often. thats alright. just need to clean some of this up.

Try this for the split near the wheel on the front end

You should firstly make base mesh then cut such details like doors hood etc…

you make some good models, but that there is some bad advice. dont cut MOVING parts out after… just stationary parts. moving parts should be modeled individually, otherwise you will find yourself compensating for topolagy 9/10 times, and by cutting it out, you reduce your options for loops because they will effect the whole mesh, not just the hood or doors. i advise against this. might just be me.

Thanks for the feedback, finally working some improvements…shown in matcap and wires below

Here are my wires so far…

Still lots to do, but improved the wheel wells and the front end tonight.

Todays updates…

Here’s where I’m leaving off today, tomorrow I will get to all the glass and lights I hope. I probably won’t go fix the area above the door at this point, there really should be more of an angle and bite on that main line to the rear quarter panel. It’s a learning exercise and I’m digging the shape it is taking so I guess it will go from exact to an “ispired by” camaro.

i havent been reading along. is this your first car? if so the rim shaders look really good, modeling could still use a little work over all. but not bad all in all. just watch those topo errors. it looks like you might be over topoing this so just be carful.

This is my first car to this detail, thanks for the tips. No texturing yet, just base materials to have something with some color to look at while all the modeling is going on. I’ll put real shaders on when I get done.

Progress continues today, working on lights and details.

Here’s a shot from the rear so far…

More updates tonight, definitely still a work in progress. I continue to clean up mesh and add details. Tonight I added disc brakes, grill inserts, interior tub, chevy logos and gave this a project a name dedicated to my cousin…“Ranman R3” Hoping to wrap this up by the end of the week and get on to the next project of learning.

Likely I will end this project here. Despite the countless flaws, I learned a ton on this project and overall I’m pretty happy with it so mission accomplished! I’m sure my next one will be better, now which car to do…

not to bad but the rear bumpers topo could use a little help. it should have more shape to it. it feels very streight in the verticle direction. besides that not bad.
