camera cliping distance 3

Hi Guys:

I’ve problem with large piece terrin in perspective view. When you view this huge terrin in perspective view, you will see some of the faces are being cliped out. By Shift+F, and change Clipend to the maxium which is 1000, helped a bit, but not much. There are still a cliping issue, I am wondering if this is the limit of this application. May be it cann’t handle huge size terrin effectively. (Please note: Scale down the mesh is not an option for this case.)

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Xi

Try changing the focol length of the camera in the same window. eg from 35 down to 25.

Why is scaling down not an option? It should not matter IF you scale everything.

This won’t change much the situation. It seems if I stick with isometric view, the cliping problem is gone. the moment you switch back to perspective view, it clips. so I guess I have to live with isometric for the time being.

Interesting suggestion, could you scale back to the exact size after you done with the blender modeling? If so, it could be an idea.

Simple answer: Yes

Select your object in Object mode, type N, the pop-up gives you the option to type in the scaling factor for each axis. After modeling simply set it back to 1.
