camera clipping

I can’t seem to get the camera clip distance to work. I’m new to blender 2.57. I pressed “N” and I set the clip distance, but objects far away are still invisible when looking through the rendering camera. I’m using a scale of .11 so the models kind of look right with the MakeHuman import, which makes the distance a lot greater, but now the back walls remain cut out. The other camera views front, top, etc, work all right and seem to adjust to the clip settings, but the main camera doesn’t.

You’ve got to change ‘clipping’ in the object data of your camera.

I have the camera selected. I press the N key, I adjust the clip distance. It doesn’t work. The object data on the left of the screen has no clip field, or anywhere else I could find. I’ve also found tutorials and that’s the way they say to adjust it, but it doesn’t work. It would be all right if I wasn’t using .1 scaling, but with that, the clipping distance doesn’t cut it.

Try setting the clip value in object data for the selected camera in a Properties window rather than using the N-KEY. It’s easy to confuse the 3D window User’s camera data with the Active camera data when in the N-KEY panel.

With the camera selected you have the clipping for the 3dview and the clipping for the camera view

Richard Marklew: Thanks. I didn’t see that second choice on the right before. I believe that fixed it. This all seems confusing to me.
