Camera cocks to the right!

For some reason, after I saved my FPS as a dynamic runtime, the camera was offset to the right when run! :<
This wouldn’t normally be a problem, except that half of the menus are off the screen (50%, at least) and the camera goes through walls now.
Any help?!

When in the camera view in Blender, take note of the dotted rectangles in the camera view. When you export the game to runtime, the view will be cropped to the outter rectangle.

It’s a good idea to zoom the Blender window so the outter rectangle lines up with the edges of the window. Then what you see in Blender will be the same as you get in the executable.

I know that, and it is aligned in the Blender window. In fact, everything works out perfectly, within the dots, in Blender.
However, when I save it as an excutable, somehow the camera gets cocked to the right. Python maybe?
[I am using a python script, so that when you move the mouse, the direction the camera is facing also changes. I don’t see how this would affect the menus, though.]

im not sure what it could be but i guess it wouldnt hurt if i threw in my couple of cents for you to check

is your camera parented to anything? that could be why the camera changes position… its happened to me before… i parent the camera to an empty that i had sized down, or an empty with an ipo, and the camera changes when i play the game

i havent had any problems with runtimes, but i hear the two engines are a little different, so my guess is it would have something to do with parenting, or ipos, or your funky script =P

could you post a blend so we’re not swinging at air please?

one more question, does your camera go to the right? or does it zoom in? both effects would cut off your menu, and might be caused by different problems… give the crowd a .blend!

I had the camera settings to 800 X 450 [or something like that] and the “Runtime Options” to 800 X 600, that’s what was wrong!
