Camera orientation

im having an issue with my camera. the orientation of it in the scene appear correct (1). but when i enter the camera view port the orientation of the camera is rotated incorrectly(2). no idea how fix this, hoping that someone here has run into this problem before.

ok, i did find one solution. it looks my camera became disconnected from the active view object. by selecting the camera going into view, then selecting “set active object as camera” i got returned to a view port that was oriented correctly.
