Camera set up for interior modeling?

So i’ve never done any interior modeling before.

But im moving into my first home that isnt an apartment, and i tried to model the floor plan and from a distance it looks good. But if i go inside with the camera, which is what i wanna do to try out wall colors and furniture placements, the whole scene doesn’t feel right. i can’t see the room well at all.

I pulled way back on the focal lens of the camera and that seemed to help a bit…

but i thought i would swing by here and ask how interior modeling is normally set up for people who actually use blender for that purpose.

any tips? thanks

Please post some pics for better understanding.

I think one trick is to re scale your room much bigger then the camera angle will better cover the inside with normal focus!

but also have to add right light sources !

happy bl

If by this you mean you reduced the focal length of the camera from, say 35mm to 25mm, then I think you’re on the right track. Some interior photographers use wide-angle lenses for this very reason, however, others don’t like the distortion that those lenses cause and prefer to sick with the “standard” 35mm. As usual, it’s an artistic decision, not necessarily a technical one
